I hate sleeptime.

starry night the anguish you bring me
the unwanted promises
the automated responses
starry night light what's to be
reveal my path without unwanted expenses

you use old lines for your new lovers
but why hold on to the past when there is no future
you mistake the spontaneous for solvers
i dread the false ideas you capture

starry night bring me a dream
take away the pain and let hope gleam
give me rest, for your obstacles i detest
take away the nightmares and try out your best
for a bright morrow can be on my team

dear lover of sorrow
some happiness borrow
lend me your clothes and I'll return them clean tomorrow
show me your desire for my soul to inspire
sing me a lullaby as sweet as the fire
burn me with passion for my willingness to grow

seer of divinity
express your authority
turn the full moon round and enthuse the majourity
read me a story from the book of your secrets
act out a fantasy employed by your duets
make my happiness your priority

starry night give me a dream
take away the pain and let hope gleam
give me rest, for your obstacles i detest
take away the nightmares and try out your best
for a bright morrow can be on my team.
